Laboratory Technician
Role: Fixed term contract, 12 months
Location: Barnstaple, Devon
Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits
The role
We’re seeking a meticulous analytical Laboratory Technician to support the smooth running of our laboratories by performing a range of analytical tests across our product range (new and existing). This team also provides a range of analytical technical services, ranging from method transfer, validation and method development, and cleaning validation, all in-line with company and industry GxP & ICH requirements. You will perform a variety of Laboratory testing to support our R&D projects (e.g. product line extensions or developments) with stability testing and finished product testing, utilising a range of analytical techniques, including HPLC, dissolution and UV spectrometry. To maintain compliance, you’ll regularly complete LIMS system, in-line with GxP requirements to maintain compliance, and where necessary laboratory notebooks and associated documentation.

The person
- Previous experience in a responsible Quality Control role, with experience across a range of laboratory techniques; HPLC, dissolution and UV spectrometry desirable however full training will be given.
- Experience in writing clear and concise reports, attention to detail.
- Good understanding of GMP, GDP and GLP requirements.
- Good IT skills (including Microsoft Office), able to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong organisation skills, able to manage multiple tasks to deadline and maintain a good eye for detail, even in a fast-paced and changeable work environment.
- Good ‘A-level’ Science qualification or equivalent essential.
- Following procedures precisely
- Awareness of data integrity requirements (ALCOA+ principles)
