Position Title: Laboratory Technician

Reports To: Lead Scientist/R&D Manager

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Position Summary

The Laboratory Technician supports the execution of research and development activities by performing routine laboratory procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of experimental work. Working under the supervision of Scientists and Senior Scientists, the role ensures laboratory operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute routine experimental procedures according to approved protocols and study plans
  • Prepare reagents, buffers, formulations, and samples as directed
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC systems, balances, microscopes)
  • Accurately record experimental data in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems
  • Support analytical testing (e.g., SEC-HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE) under supervision
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory
  • Follow ISO9001 and applicable quality procedures
  • Assist in troubleshooting basic technical issues

Required Qualifications

  • BSc or equivalent qualification in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline
  • 0–2+ years of laboratory experience (industry preferred)
  • Familiarity with basic analytical and biochemical techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a regulated laboratory environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical laboratory settings
  • Exposure to ISO9001, ISO13485, or cGMP environments
  • Experience supporting formulation or biologics-related projects
