Role Description
We're looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Edinburgh-based analytical and processing lab. You'll support our Director of R&D in preparing samples, manufacturing materials using our process equipment, aiding in data acquisition and record keeping, maintaining lab equipment, and upholding rigorous standards of health, safety and data integrity.

This is a hands-on role at the centre of our mission: the quality and care you bring to the bench directly informs decisions about which processing routes can deliver real climate impact at scale. It's an ideal opportunity for someone early in their chemistry or science career who wants to build practical, applied laboratory experience within a fast-moving, mission-driven organisation.
Essential skills or qualifications
- A degree or diploma in a technical or scientific discipline
- Some prior laboratory experience, gained through study, placement, internship or employment
- A careful, methodical approach with strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- A proactive, hands-on, approach to problem solving
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine interest in critical minerals, climate and the energy transition
- The right to work in the UK and willingness to work on-site in our Edinburgh laboratory (Edinburgh Innovation Hub)
- Good team energy is essential.
