This is an opportunity to join a pioneering crop biotechnology company developing novel technologies to improve crop productivity and environmental resilience. You'll work alongside experienced scientists and founders, gaining exposure to cutting-edge plant genetic engineering and crop research programmes.
As a Research Technician, you will play a vital role in laboratory operations while supporting research programmes across plant molecular biology, genetic engineering, and crop trait development.

The Opportunity
You will work across laboratory operations and scientific support activities, ensuring research teams have the resources, materials, and infrastructure needed to deliver high-quality science. You will contribute to plant molecular biology, tissue culture, and crop research programmes while maintaining efficient laboratory workflows, inventories, and documentation. Working closely with scientists across multiple projects, you'll help create a productive and collaborative research environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing laboratory organisation, inventory, and ordering
- Preparing reagents, media, and laboratory consumables
- Supporting plant growth, tissue culture, and molecular biology activities
- Maintaining laboratory records, protocols, and documentation
- Assisting scientists with routine experiments and data collection
- Supporting equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with laboratory health and safety procedures

Who We're Looking For
We're interested in individuals who enjoy both science and organisation. You may be a recent graduate with laboratory experience gained through a placement year, internship, master's project, or an early-career industry role.
Essential Requirements
- BSc in Plant Science, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline
- Hands-on laboratory experience gained through academia or industry
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
