In collaboration with Single Use and Integrated Systems R&D teams, this position will apply the following functional and technical skills and knowledge:

  • Plan, execute, and draw meaningful results for PAT integrations from upstream cell culture experiments
  • Provides solutions and feedback to technical problems of routine scope and complexity to respective stakeholders in product development team
  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Timely completion of tasks helps to keep projects on track and within resource allocations
  • Accountable for the quality of own work. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior levels
  • Capacity to make connections among previously unrelated notions, actively formulates new ideas to address existing issues
  • Moderately skilled in data analysis and experimental design. Ability to apply basic scientific/engineering principles to problem solving
  • Research literature and attend conferences to keep current with the bioprocessing end user’s process design targets, performance expectations, technical advancements, and general bioprocessing needs.
  • Deliver presentations, write technical reports, and provide data for application notes to support products within development.

  • B.S. in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, or other science/engineering related discipline.
  • Biopharmaceutical industry experience and/or experience working in the laboratory planning, conducting, documenting, and analyzing data from hands-on experimental work
  • Experience operating a bioreactor, maintaining aseptic technique, and general cell culture experience
  • Excellent problem solving & analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, vendors, and managers
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and enjoy creating well-designed laboratory experiments and drawing meaningful conclusions from the results
  • Ability to support experimental needs on weekends if needed
