At Grundon, we are on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join our Fabrications team based in Ewelme. The role is ideally suited to someone with solid hands-on workshop experience and strong administrative and organisational skills.

Reporting into the Fabrication Workshop & Container Manager you will play a key role in driving our mission forward by supporting the fabrications workshop to run smoothly and efficiently.

Please note due to the location of this role you will require access to your own transport.

What will you do

  • The job holder will support all fabrication staff to include basic administration, dismantling of containers ready for disposal.
  • Ensure that all containers being delivered or repaired meet our branding expectation.
  • Apply vinyl artwork in line with company guidelines to promote a high-quality company image.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked workshop, including paints, tools, PPE, and materials.
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver orders, collect supplies, and handle vehicle loading and unloading.
  • Carry out safety inspections, ensure machinery and equipment maintenance is up to date and all records are filed, report any defects promptly and help maintain equipment to ensure everything remains safe and fit for purpose.
  • Play an active role in improving workshop efficiency, suggesting new ideas to reduce repair times and costs.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks, ensuring full compliance with company policies and legislation.
  • Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder.

About You

  • Strong practical skills, proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Competent in administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Committed to high-quality work and excellent customer service.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, effectively prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Experience in warehouse or stores operations advantageous.
  • Telehandler/forklift experience preferred; training available.
  • Full UK driving licence essential with the flexibility to travel to other sites as and when required.
