Labourer Job Description

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Labourer to join the team at Teesside for upcoming site works.

This role will involve working 37.5 hour weeks Monday - Friday.

The position is paid under ASA Local agreements (£19.02 per hour), must be local to site.

The role is fixed term until 07.12.2026 approx.

Key Deliverables

  • Provide general labouring support to scaffolding teams
  • Assist with the safe movement, handling, and organisation of scaffold materials
  • Attend safety briefings, use PPE correctly, and report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Support scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities under the supervision of qualified scaffolders.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, security, and environmental compliance, while adhering to site procedures, permit systems, and radiation protection requirements.
  • To assist trades men with their duties
  • Ensuring good working practices to optimize time on the workface
  • Adhere to Policies and Procedures as per AIMS/Client procedures
  • Communicate daily with site management and keep them fully informed of all issues
