Labs & Analytical Support Manager
We are seeking a Labs & Analytical Support Manager to manage the delivery of the analytical programme, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This is an opportunity to lead a specialist team, work closely with customers and regulators, and drive continuous improvement across laboratory operations.
What Will You Be Doing
You will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of the analytical programme, ensuring activities are delivered to time, cost and quality requirements. Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will oversee laboratory operations, maintain regulatory compliance and ensure customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Create, implement and maintain the Lifetime Plan and Strategies for the Laboratory Service.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 17020 and maintenance of UKAS accreditation.
- Monitor and report on safety, cost, programme and quality performance, implementing remedial actions where required.
- Lead Dounreay staff as a Line Manager and support the safe delivery of analytical services.

We are looking for a proactive and organised leader with experience managing analytical, laboratory or technical programmes within a regulated environment. You will be comfortable engaging with customers, regulators, auditors and contractors, while ensuring high standards of safety, quality and operational performance.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver complex programmes and continuously improve service delivery.
Key Requirements Include
- Degree in Science/ Engineering or equivalent qualification plus experience
- Experience managing programmes and projects to time, cost and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, auditing processes and accreditation standards.
- Ability to monitor performance, resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
- Experience leading and developing teams within a safety-focused environment.
- Post specific physical capability analysis assessment
