Location: Exton Park, Chester
Rate of Pay: £25 per hour (maximum £2,100 per year)
Contract: October–December and January–March (21 weeks in total)
Help Shape the Future of Women's Lacrosse at Chester
The University of Chester is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Women's Lacrosse Club Coach to join our Sport & Active Lifestyle team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified coach to inspire and develop student athletes within a thriving university sports environment. Working with players of varying abilities, you will lead engaging training sessions, support player development, and help create a positive and inclusive club culture.
About The Role
As Women's Lacrosse Club Coach, you will:
- Lead and deliver structured coaching sessions for all club members, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Work closely with club captains and committee members to support the club's objectives and development.
- Encourage participation, progression and enjoyment across all levels of play.
- Act as a professional role model and ambassador for sportCHESTER.
- Maintain regular communication with the Sport Development Team.
- Adhere to the sportCHESTER Coaches' Code of Conduct and complete all required safeguarding and DBS checks.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- A minimum Foundation/Level 1 coaching qualification in Lacrosse.
- Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport certification.
- Knowledge and understanding of lacrosse coaching and player development.
- Experience of working with young adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong motivational and organisational skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions that meet the needs of participants.
- The ability to work independently and use initiative.

Desirable
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience of playing or competing in lacrosse at club level or above.
