Rate: £28.00 per hour (Monday–Friday)
Hours: 45 hours per week
Duration: 5 months

Weekend Work: Regular opportunities available, with rates to be confirmed
Certification: Valid IPAF required
Job Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced Industrial Laggers for a long-term project based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled lagging operatives with a strong background in industrial insulation to secure approximately five months of contract work, with an immediate start available.
The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation systems across pipework, fittings, and associated industrial equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to the required project standards.
Regular weekend work is also expected to be available, providing opportunities for additional hours.

- Install thermal insulation and lagging to industrial pipework, fittings, valves, and associated equipment.
- Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials accurately to suit different pipe sizes and configurations.
- Apply appropriate cladding and protective finishes where required by the project.
- Ensure insulation systems are installed correctly and meet project specifications.
- Read and follow technical drawings, specifications, and site instructions where required.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and attention to detail.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures and use the correct PPE at all times.
- Work effectively alongside other trades and site personnel to meet project deadlines.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe throughout the project.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Industrial Lagger.
- Practical experience installing insulation to industrial pipework and associated equipment.
- Ability to measure, cut, and fit insulation materials accurately.
- Valid IPAF certification.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team.
- Reliability, good timekeeping, and a professional approach to site work.
- Availability to start ASAP and commit to the project duration.
