Company Description
2 Sisters Food Group in Scunthorpe has vacancies for Lairage Operatives, on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable employer in a much sought-after position.
Job Description
Lairage Operatives are required to clean and sanitise all empty trailers, following the delivery of live poultry to the site.
- Ensure all wagons/trailers are empty and free of modules of live birds before commencing cleaning.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitise the empty trailers using the high-pressure washing systems as displayed on the Cleaning Instruction Cards in each of the bays.
- Check the cleaned trailer is free from any form of contamination.
- Keep the working area clean throughout the day and after production ends.
- Report any anomalies with the wagons or equipment to management.
- Dispose of waste and debris correctly.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Experience with high-pressure washers (desirable)
- Good observational skills
- The ability to work at an efficient pace
- Good team working and communication skills
- Ability to follow and understand tasks required to perform the role
- Speaking, reading and writing English at a sufficient level to pass COSHH
- Food safety Level 2 (desirable)
- A good understanding of your own responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

Additional Information
Lairage Operatives work on a rotating shift pattern, AM & PM:
AM Shift
- Monday: 02:30 – 13:30
- Tuesday-Friday: 05:00-13:30
- Saturday: 05:00-11:00
PM Shift
- Monday-Friday 13:25-21:55
The rate of pay is £14.50 per hour, with supplements for unsociable hours on a Monday day shift, plus enhanced pay for Saturdays.

Compensation: up to GBP 14.50 - weekly
