Land Agent / Rural Estates Surveyor
Badminton Estate | Gloucestershire
A rare opportunity to help manage one of Britain's finest private estates
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Land Agent / Rural Estates Surveyor to join Badminton Estate, one of the country's most prestigious and historic private estates. Working across more than 60,000 acres of land and property spanning Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Wales, you will play a key role in the professional management of a diverse rural portfolio that includes agricultural holdings, residential property, commercial assets, environmental schemes and historic buildings.
Working closely with the Head of Rural & Property, this position offers exposure to the full breadth of rural estate management, providing an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to develop their career within a progressive landed estate environment.

The Role
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of the Estate's agricultural, residential and commercial property interests. Key responsibilities will include:
- Rent reviews, lease negotiations and new lettings
- Property inspections and tenant management.
- Assisting with environmental stewardship and woodland management schemes.
- Advising on compensation matters, utility wayleaves and professional rural practice work.
- Working closely with colleagues across the farming, property, forestry and events operations of the Estate.
- Manage telecoms and advise on renewable energy initiatives
- Management of common land in England & Wales
About You
We're interested in speaking with qualified rural surveyors and land agents who are passionate about rural property, estate management and long-term stewardship.

You will ideally possess:
- MRICS qualification and experience within rural estate management.
- Strong landlord and tenant knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness coupled with a practical approach to problem solving.
- A full UK driving licence.
- FAAV qualification, experience of agricultural tenancies, environmental schemes or work on private estates would be advantageous but is not essential.
