Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Land and Partnerships Manager role based in Wigan. The role involves identifying and assessing land opportunities, carrying out feasibility studies, and preparing reports and recommendations for acquisition. The Land and Partnerships Manager builds and maintains relationships with housing associations, local authorities, agents, and landowners, negotiating terms and supporting legal processes to secure sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a pipeline of land deals, coordinating with internal teams such as planning, technical, and commercial, and ensuring alignment with business targets and regulatory requirements. The role also requires monitoring market trends, attending meetings and site visits, and providing regular updates on progress and risks to senior leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills for site appraisal, financial modeling, risk assessment, and feasibility analysis.
- Experience in partnerships and strategic partnerships, including building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Account management capabilities to oversee partner accounts, track performance, and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiations, presentations, report writing, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Background in land acquisition, residential development, or property, ideally within the housing or construction sector.
- Proven negotiation skills and understanding of legal, planning, and regulatory aspects of land deals.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualification in Real Estate, Planning, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in standard business software (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with property or mapping tools is an advantage.
