Land, Consents & Environment Manager – HVDC Infrastructure
Location: UK – Remote, with occasional project travel

Are you an experienced land and consenting professional with a background in major UK infrastructure projects?
Turner Lovell, specialist talent advisors to the energy sector, is supporting an international infrastructure developer with the appointment of a Land, Consents & Environment Manager.
Our client is developing major HVDC transmission infrastructure across Europe and is strengthening its UK project team as one of its projects moves through a key development and consenting phase.
The project is entering an important development phase, with a strong focus on progressing the UK land, consenting and stakeholder workstreams towards the next stage of delivery.
The Role
This position will focus primarily on the onshore land and consenting workstream, with responsibility for coordinating land agents, consultants, landowners and stakeholders to ensure the project remains on track for consent and future construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead onshore land, consenting and environmental activities.
- Manage land agents and support the securing of land access, easements, wayleaves and other required rights.
- Coordinate environmental surveys, technical studies and specialist consultants.
- Support route refinement and site selection from a land, planning and environmental perspective.
- Lead engagement with landowners, communities, local authorities and statutory stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and submission of the DCO application and help steer the project through examination.
- Work closely with engineering, legal and procurement teams to ensure consenting requirements are incorporated into project development.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience delivering land and consenting activities on major UK infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of DCO / NSIP processes.
- Experience managing land agents and landowner engagement.
- Understanding of easements, wayleaves, access agreements and land acquisition.
- Background in environmental planning, permitting or consenting.
- Experience within transmission, utilities, offshore wind, subsea cables or similar linear infrastructure.
- Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
