Tasks

The main purpose of the role includes installing and maintaining a control network along the Construction Traffic Routes, assisting with Mobile Mapping Surveys, undertaking as-built surveys and setting out of utilities. You will also be expected to carry out site surveying tasks with the wider Project teams as workload allows.

Main Duties

  • Install and maintain survey control networks along the Construction Traffic Routes.
  • Carrying out topographic, 2D and 3D surveys for highways, drainage and structures.
  • Weekly drone surveys.
  • Using modern survey equipment including GNSS, robotic total stations and LiDAR scanning to capture data.
  • Processing survey data in TBC/LSS and producing accurate drawings and 3D models.

Qualifications

  • L3 Geospatial Qualification, Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related geospatial field.
  • Experience in a similar surveying role.
  • Member of CICES or RICS is highly desirable.
  • Valid CSCS card (Manager level preferred) and a full UK Driving Licence.

Skills And Experience

  • Experience in Highways works.
  • Experience in TBC software or similar software package to process data and analyse the results.
  • Advanced user of AutoCAD, Excel, and 3D processing software.
  • Knowledge of modern geospatial hardware (Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, Laser Scanners, UAV9s) and their associated processing workflows.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence is essential.
