Role Description
The Land Surveyor role at Pro Rail Services is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Kingdom and Ireland (Dublin & Cork), supporting rail and civil engineering projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting land and topographic surveys
- Setting out works
- Collecting accurate site data using total stations and other surveying instruments
- Preparing survey drawings, reports, and digital records
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure that designs and construction activities are based on precise measurements
- Verifying existing site conditions
- Monitoring construction progress
- Maintaining compliance with relevant rail and safety standards
Accurate record-keeping, adherence to company procedures, and consistent communication with stakeholders are essential aspects of this position.

- Demonstrated experience in Land Surveying and Surveying for civil engineering or rail projects
- Proficiency in Topographic Surveys, including data collection, processing, and production of survey deliverables
- Hands-on experience using Total Station and related surveying equipment and software
- Background in Building Surveying or structural-related surveys is beneficial
- Relevant technical qualification in surveying, civil engineering, geomatics, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and spatial awareness
- Ability to work safely on active rail and construction sites, following all safety-critical procedures
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
