Summary
We are recruiting a Land Use & Nature Delivery Partner to lead nature-recovery work across the South West. The role requires strong expertise in land management, ecology, nature-friendly farming, and collaborative partnership working to deliver landscape-scale restoration across farms, woodlands, uplands, and urban green spaces.
The post will primarily focus on Dorset and Wiltshire with additional work across the wider region depending on project needs. Contractual location and flexible-working arrangements will be discussed at interview.
What It's Like To Work Here
You will join the Restore Nature Specialist Delivery teams during an exciting period as we implement our “People and Nature Thriving” strategy, which aims to create 250,000 hectares of nature-rich habitat across and beyond National Trust land.
The South West includes some of our most valuable landscapes, coastlines and species, offering significant opportunities for nature recovery. This role forms part of a region-wide, integrated delivery team.
What You'll Be Doing
You will lead habitat restoration and species-recovery initiatives, supporting Property Teams and Farmers to adopt nature-positive, low-carbon, and climate resilient land-management practices.
You will help shape land-management that embed nature recovery well beyond our in-hand and tenanted land holdings – at a transformational landscape scale. Your responsibilities will include ecological assessments, contract management, monitoring plans, and ensuring measurable outcomes such as improved habitat condition and biodiversity net gain are achieved.
You will be proactive in seeking out and securing funding to support the delivery of our ambitious strategy, working collaboratively with our grant specialists, property teams and the wider Restore Nature regional delivery team.
You will also represent the National Trust in regional collaborations and use your network of partners and contractors to support large-scale restoration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
