Landing Gear Engineering is part of the wider Systems Centre of Competence (CoC), providing Airbus Commercial with excellence in Landing Gear definition, integration, industrialisation and in-service support.
A complex area of aerospace engineering, Landing Gear engineering comprises control systems, mechanical systems & structures, integrated into the overall aircraft design for the key functions of take off, landing and taxiing.
In this role, you will be actively contributing to real-world AI and Data Analytics use cases. We know that the technology landscape is moving fast, which is why this role is heavily focused on mentorship. You will get hands-on experience with the most highly demanded skills in the industry today, including Cloud computing, Full-Stack development, and advanced AI architectures.

What You Will Be Doing
Under the guidance of senior engineers and mentors, you will:
- Build AI-Driven Applications: Help design, develop, and integrate AI models into scalable software solutions;
- Explore Advanced AI Concepts: Get hands-on exposure to building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and exploring Agentic AI workflows;
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Learn how to deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Full-Stack Development: Contribute to both the front-end and back-end of data-intensive applications;
- Collaborate & Learn: Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and architecture brainstorming sessions to understand how enterprise software is built.

Requirements
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.
Successful candidates will have studied the following degrees:
- Studying any relevant Degree in the following fields: Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics;
- A Hunger to Learn: A strong willingness to absorb new information, ask questions, and tackle unfamiliar challenges;
- Drive to Contribute: A proactive mindset and a desire to build things that matter;
- Problem-Solving Mindset: You enjoy breaking down complex problems and finding logical solutions.
Desirable, but absolutely NOT mandatory skills:
- Exposure to or basic knowledge of Python;
- Familiarity with Full-Stack development concepts (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, basic databases);
