Role Description
The Landlord Acquisition Agent is a full-time hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility for work from home. This position focuses on identifying, engaging, and onboarding new landlords, presenting Vale & Mercer’s services, and building long-term, trust-based relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and contacting potential landlord clients
- Conducting property and market assessments
- Explaining lettings and management services in a clear, transparent manner
- Collaborating with lettings and property management teams to ensure new instructions move smoothly from initial contact through listing, marketing, and tenant placement

Additional tasks involve:
- Maintaining accurate records in CRM systems
- Staying current on local property regulations and market trends
- Representing the brand professionally in meetings, calls, and networking events
Qualifications
- Experience with landlord/tenant matters, including understanding of UK rental regulations and best practices in landlord representation.
- Background in estate agency or residential property sales/lettings, with familiarity navigating the London property market.
- Knowledge of property management processes, from onboarding new instructions to ongoing portfolio oversight.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term client relationships.
- Experience in lettings, including valuation, marketing, tenant selection, and negotiation of tenancy terms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presentation abilities, and professional telephone manner.
- Proactive mindset with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple leads and instructions simultaneously.
- Comfort with CRM systems, basic digital marketing tools, and standard office software to track prospects and maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant UK housing legislation, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Previous experience in the London property sector is highly beneficial; a valid right to work in the UK is required.
