BCA Landscape are looking for a new team member to join our Liverpool office.
We are an award-winning practice, creating distinctive places that connect people with each other and with nature. Since 1984, our work has combined creative design with a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and the expression of the narrative of each community and place we work with.
Our projects span public realm, parks and gardens, education, residential developments, heritage, and community regeneration. We work collaboratively with clients, communities, and design teams to create landscapes that make a positive difference to people’s lives.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys exploring new ideas, digging into the details, and seeing their work make a positive difference. If you’re curious about what makes a place special and enjoy sharing ideas with the people around you, we’d love to hear from you.
Ideally, you’ll have around two years’ experience working in a landscape practice or a similar design environment. However, we recognize that experience comes in different forms and welcome applications from candidates at a range of career stages. The position could suit a graduate with workplace experience, an assistant or junior landscape architect, or someone ready to join us as a landscape architect.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
