Role Description

The Language Tutor role is a full-time, remote position focused on delivering effective, engaging language instruction to learners in an online environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Planning and conducting virtual lessons
  • Assessing learner needs and progress
  • Adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning goals
  • Providing clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary
  • Facilitating conversation practice
  • Assigning and reviewing exercises or homework
  • Maintaining regular communication with learners
  • Providing constructive feedback
  • Documenting progress in accordance with Tutoring’s guidelines

The Language Tutor is expected to participate in occasional team meetings or training sessions to share best practices and continuously improve instructional quality.

  • Strong skills in Tutoring and English Teaching, with experience supporting diverse learners at varying proficiency levels
  • Online Tutoring skills, including comfort with virtual classroom tools and digital learning platforms
  • Excellent Communication and Teaching skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and encourage active participation
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Education, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in language instruction
  • Certification in TEFL, TESOL, or similar credentials is beneficial, as is experience teaching in remote or online settings
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage a consistent full-time schedule in a remote work environment
