Role Description

The Languages Teacher is based at Yorkshire College in Leeds. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging language lessons across a variety of programmes, including General English and tailored courses for different learner groups. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing lesson materials
  • Assessing student progress
  • Providing constructive feedback
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with college policies and quality standards

The teacher will also contribute to curriculum development, participate in staff meetings and training, and support student welfare by fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with experience delivering learner-centered lessons
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured courses that align with learning outcomes
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to support different proficiency levels, use a range of teaching methodologies, and integrate technology into classroom practice
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices
