Role Description

The Large Format Print Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Coventry. This role involves operating and maintaining large format printers, preparing print files, managing colour calibration, and overseeing media loading and finishing processes. The technician will handle day-to-day print production for events and exhibitions, including trimming, mounting, and basic bindery tasks to ensure materials are ready for installation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring job queues
  • Performing routine equipment checks
  • Identifying and resolving print issues
  • Maintaining a clean, organised production area
  • Collaborating with design and project teams to meet deadlines, follow job specifications, and uphold quality standards

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in print production and large format printing, including setup, operation, and quality control.
  • Experience with printer support and troubleshooting, including routine maintenance and resolving technical issues.
  • Practical knowledge of bindery and finishing processes such as cutting, laminating, and mounting.
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow print specifications, and commitment to consistent output quality.
  • Ability to work on-site in Coventry, manage multiple jobs, and meet tight deadlines in a production environment.
  • Basic understanding of print-ready files and collaboration with design or prepress teams.
  • Previous experience in large format print, signage, or graphics production is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes, with good problem-solving and communication skills.
