Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Large Format Printer / Finisher role based in Glasgow. The role involves operating and maintaining large format printers, preparing files for print, and ensuring output meets quality standards and customer specifications. The Large Format Printer Finisher will perform finishing tasks such as trimming, mounting, laminating, and preparing printed materials for installation or dispatch. Day-to-day activities include:

The role also requires careful handling of materials, adherence to health and safety procedures, accurate record-keeping, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Experience with print production processes, including large format printing and general printing operations.
  • Ability to support and maintain printers, including basic troubleshooting and routine Printer Support.
  • Practical knowledge of finishing and Bindery tasks such as trimming, laminating, mounting, and preparing items for installation.
  • Familiarity with Inkjet printing technology and related materials, inks, and substrates.
  • Attention to detail, strong quality control focus, and ability to follow technical specifications and artwork guidelines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a production team environment, meeting deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Comfort with manual handling and working in a workshop or manufacturing setting; understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Previous experience in large format print, signage, or vehicle livery environments is beneficial; vocational training or certification in print or graphics is an advantage.
