Salary: £25,500–£35,000 per year, depending on experience
Location: Grapefruit Production House, Swanwick
Hours: 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday
Job type: Full-time
Grapefruit is looking for an experienced Print & Cut Operator to join our busy production team at our Production House in Swanwick.
This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in large-format digital printing, laminating and vinyl cutting who enjoys producing high-quality work and working as part of a fast-moving production team.
You’ll be responsible for helping jobs move efficiently through production while maintaining quality, controlling waste and ensuring customer deadlines are achieved.
The role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating digital printers, laminators and vinyl cutting machines
- Printing and laminating a variety of large-format media
- Setting up and managing print and cut jobs
- Carrying out quality checks throughout production
- Maintaining colour samples for client work
- Working to the production schedule and communicating any issues or delays
- Using vinyl and other materials efficiently to minimise waste
- Updating job timings and production information on our ordering system
- Carrying out routine machinery maintenance
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering media and consumables
- Preparing finished work for dispatch or installation
- Following job sheets and production scheduling software
- Booking couriers and Royal Mail services when required
- Helping the wider production team meet client deadlines

What we’re looking for
Previous experience within large-format print, signage, graphics or a similar production environment is important for this role.
You should have:
- Experience operating digital print and finishing equipment
- Experience using RIP software
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Good IT skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to manage your workload and work to deadlines
- A proactive approach to solving problems
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary & benefits
We offer:
- £25,000–£35,000 per year, depending on experience
- Monday–Friday working – no weekends
- 7:30am–4:00pm working hours
- 32 days’ holiday per year, including UK public holidays
