Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay: A GBP 15 - A GBP 17 per hour (including shift allowance)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Laser Cutting Operators to join our client's well-established business in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone with a background in precision manufacturing who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machinery, producing components to specification, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting machines to meet production schedules
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Carry out machine adjustments and tooling changes where required
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
- Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain manufacturing records
- Monitor machine performance and report any faults or production issues
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Contribute ideas to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing processes

About You
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using a range of measuring equipment for quality drawings
- Experience using a range of measuring equipment for quality inspection
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment, knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing, FLT license, overhead crane experience, or exposure to Lean Manufacturing would all be highly advantageous.
