About The Role
The Laser Marking Operator position in Aldridge involves setting up, running, and maintaining laser equipment to produce precise components for a market-leading manufacturer. Working full-time on an initial temporary contract with permanent prospects, the role covers a Monday-to-Friday day shift. Duties include generating accurate, permanent serial numbers and other marks from technical drawings, ensuring output meets customer specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards. Prior experience with such machinery is advantageous, though a strong aptitude for precision work is essential. Job Responsibilities
- Set and operate a laser marking machine
- Produce accurate and permanent marks such as serial number/codes on a variety of products
- Load parts/components
- Perform quality checks
- Inspect finished parts
- Ensure paperwork is kept up to date
- Report machine faults
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a background in Engineering, the ability to read technical drawings, and can demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy. Training will be provided.
