Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering is part of the Aerospace division and a leading aerospace components manufacturer, supplying aero engine and airframe OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers globally.
Using high technology processes, we specialise in:
- Hot and cold formed components in high temperature aerospace alloys
- Complex fabricated assemblies
- Thermal insulation heat shields and systems
Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering has over 30 years of experience of the quality standards in the aerospace industry with certification to AS9100 rev D and accredited by NADCAP for our special processes.

Job Description
Role Purpose
The role is part of the team in the Machine shop who operate Laser, Mazak & XYZ CNC lathes to support the production of Aerospace components ensuring they conform to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret and complete production route cards (Technical Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Data Sheets).
- Setting and operating Lasers.
- Learn to operate Mazak and CNC machines to provide cover for work volumes and absence.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards of the work area implementing Safety + 5 S methods (Sort, Set, Standardise, Shine, Sustain).
- Quality inspection of samples to ensure they conform with required size of gauges using measuring equipment.
- Work in line with the Company Values (Safety, Accountability, Respect & Trust, Integrity, Excellence, Customer Focus) and demonstrate the associated behaviours in your daily work.
- Consistently follow Health, Safety & Environmental procedures, including wearing the required personal protective equipment provided.
- Complete training as required and apply the learning in performing operations to.
- Perform all reasonable requests made by management.

Qualifications
Key Requirements:
Essential
- Must have right to work in the UK.
- Always demonstrates Health & Safety awareness.
- Able to read and interpret technical documentation, visual aids and data sheets.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent manual dexterity (Hands on work).
- Laser Operator experience (Trumpf) desirable.
- Team player.
- Flexible in working hours to undertake variable shift patterns and support business needs by working overtime when required.
- Punctual.
