Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and guest-focused Late Housekeeping Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at Novotel Glasgow.
This is a 5-hour late shift, working from 17:00 to 22:00, and is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, has great attention to detail and enjoys creating a welcoming environment for our guests.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards throughout the hotel during the evening, with a particular focus on late departure rooms, stayover rooms and public areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service late departure and stayover guest rooms in accordance with our service standards.
- Ensure all allocated areas are cleaned and presented within the required timeframe and to a consistently high standard.
- Inspect completed rooms to ensure they meet the required cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Clean and maintain all hotel public areas, including corridors, staircases, guest lifts, guest toilets and other designated areas.
- Ensure guest toilets and surrounding public areas are clean, hygienic and well presented at all times.
- Keep housekeeping and service areas tidy, organised and clear, working in coordination with the Housekeeping and Front of House teams.
- Ensure all required guest and housekeeping items are clean, available and replenished as required.
- Report any maintenance, damage or cleanliness issues through the correct channels and follow through to ensure issues are rectified.
- Operate laundry and housekeeping equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist guests with directions and general enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure all communication with guests is in line with our hotel service standards.
- Follow all health and safety, hygiene, security and hotel procedures.
- Support the wider Housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Can manage their time effectively.
- Is comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
- Has a friendly and professional manner when dealing with guests.
- Has good communication skills.
- Is flexible and willing to support the team when required.
Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.

- Shift: 17:00–22:00
- 5 hours per shift
