Sophy Digbeth is looking for a motivated and experienced Late Night Bar Manager / Events Manager to join our team and play a key role in the day-to-day running and growth of the venue.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the Birmingham late-night and events industry, is confident dealing with customers and bookings, and can take ownership of private hire and event enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the late-night operation of the venue
  • Handling incoming phone enquiries and private hire bookings
  • Managing and converting event and private hire enquiries
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of events
  • Liaising with customers regarding bookings and event requirements
  • Helping maintain a high standard of customer service and guest experience
  • Working closely with the bar and wider venue team
  • Supporting the growth of private hire and events revenue
  • Ensuring events and late-night operations run smoothly
  • Taking responsibility for tasks and working independently when required

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in events
  • Knowledge of the late-night hospitality industry in Birmingham
  • Experience handling phone bookings and private hire enquiries
  • Basic knowledge of bar operations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A confident and professional approach
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced late-night environment
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
