Role description

At Tata Technologies, we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering, and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Launch Engineer - Chassis role.

THE ROLE

The Launch Engineer seeks support in the form of service provision to formally integrate the controlled build methodology into business processes.

This support involves two key aspects:

  • Assisting with the implementation of the controlled build process.
  • Executing the controlled build process and reporting the results.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

The service provision will report directly to the Launch Manager and will carry out the following responsibilities in collaboration with the Launch Manager:

  • Analyze manufacturing and technical data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review manufacturing processes to identify risks, issues, and potential root causes.
  • Conduct risk management and problem-solving activities to determine root causes and possible solutions (e.g., risk registers, DFMEA, PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, 8D, PDCA, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Verify improvements and solutions to ensure problems are fully resolved; if not, re-run problem-solving and risk management activities until completion.
  • Escalate issues for problem-solving, departmental buy-in, or delays in action deadlines.
  • Record improvement ideas and lessons learned centrally.
  • Update the risk register as needed.
  • Implement lessons learned across business (e.g., other manufacturing areas, concepts, and R&D) to prevent recurrence of issues in new projects where applicable.
  • Report progress to the LQC Launch Manager using agreed KPIs.
  • Provide feedback on the controlled build process to support continuous improvement and successful integration.
  • Attend team meetings to support process development and enhance team knowledge.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to report problem resolutions, lessons learned, and updates to requirements where applicable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
