Role Description
The Laundry Attendant role at H&M Laundrette Ltd is a contract, on-site position based in Greater London. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry, following established procedures and quality standards for both commercial and domestic orders. Daily tasks include:
- Operating washers and dryers safely
- Monitoring cycles
- Handling linens and garments with care
- Preparing items for delivery or customer collection
The role also involves:
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Reporting any equipment issues
- Supporting efficient workflow to meet pickup and delivery schedules
The Laundry Attendant may interact with customers in person, ensuring professional, courteous communication and contributing to a positive service experience.

Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Laundry and Laundry Services, with attention to fabric care and cleaning standards.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate Dryers and related laundry equipment.
- Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to support a positive, client-focused experience.
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry, hospitality, or similar environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, stand for extended periods, and handle moderate lifting as required.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills; ability to read labels, follow instructions, and complete simple records.
