Project Detail
Loughborough Law is committed to critical, socio-legal and interdisciplinary research, exploring the relationship between law and social justice, and working collaboratively and creatively to make change in the world. We invite applications for a fully-funded home PhD student to join our research community. We particularly welcome research proposals aligned with the following areas of research strength within the department:

Entry Requirements
- A master's degree with Merit in Law or relevant discipline
- A 2:1 honours degree in Law or relevant discipline
- Substantial professional work experience/qualifications may also be taken into consideration
English Language Requirements

Funding Information
The studentship will cover:
- A stipend at the UKRI rate (£21,805 from 1 October 2026) for 3 years full-time, or a pro-rated amount for a part-time student
- Home student university tuition fees (£5,238 for the 2026/7 academic year) for 3 years full-time, or the relevant annual home student fees for part-time study

Application Process

- Personal statement explaining your motivation for studying the programme, any relevant skills and experience, future career aspirations and how this programme will support this
- Research Proposal (2000-5000 words)
- A research timeline
