Technology Lawyer

Salary: Competitive

Overview

Our client, an international law firm, is looking for a Technology Lawyer at NQ–2 PQE level to join a specialist Data and Digital practice.

You will advise clients on data protection, technology and commercial matters, including GDPR compliance, international data transfers, PECR, AI governance, and cyber regulation. The role also offers exposure to major incident response work, multi-jurisdictional projects, and the drafting and negotiation of technology contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on data protection, technology, and broader commercial law matters.
  • Support clients with GDPR compliance, international data transfers, and PECR.
  • Advise on AI governance and cyber regulation.
  • Work on major incident response matters and complex multi-jurisdictional projects.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial, technology, SaaS, and outsourcing agreements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across commercial, disputes, employment, and legal technology teams.
  • Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and client initiatives.

Requirements

  • NQ–2 PQE lawyer with some experience in commercial contracts, technology, data protection, or broader commercial law.
  • Genuine interest in data, digital, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Motivation to develop your career within a collaborative and growing practice.
