Our Team:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal professional to be at the heart of public service while looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Following a significant increase in demand for support from qualified legal practitioners over the last 2 years across the authority, there has been a review of the service and you will be joining a newly developed Adults Social Care legal team and working alongside our Child Care & Education Team.

You will be joining a supportive and knowledgeable legal team that is committed to delivering advice in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring best value for the Council while helping to meet the complex and evolving needs of the community.

Your Contributions:
- You will provide expert legal advice and representation on a broad range of adult social care matters, including Court of Protection and safeguarding as well as undertaking advocacy work, in order to protect and further the Council’s objectives.
- We are looking for a highly organised person that possesses excellent IT and communication skills, with an ability to work flexibly as part of the team and also individually.
- You will have:
- Excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
- The ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and supporting families in achieving stability and independence.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle (Where appropriate, reasonable adjustments will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act)
