Job Summary
The Service Delivery Group are recruiting to fill 2 permanent AO roles within the Lawyer & Business Support Team, based in two office locations.
Working in a fast-paced team environment, this role provides support to the delivery of legal services for HM Land Registry (HMLR) to caseworkers across service lines. Working with Land Registration Lawyers, Land Registrars, and other areas of HMLR as required to support the delivery of the overall key business objectives and legal services, to meet the needs of the organisation, our stakeholders and customers.
Job Description
You will act as the Land Registration Lawyers’ contact point for caseworkers and customers for queries on dispute work or cases referred to lawyers, and process objections and disputes in line with HMLR procedures and guidance, seeking lawyer input or referring upwards if necessary.
You will undertake a range of administrative duties on behalf of the Lawyer and Business Support Team, processing elements of the dispute process to assist the wider team to required service level agreement standards and timescales. The dispute process starts at processing the objections, right the way through to referral to the First-tier Tribunal for judgement and actioning the Court Order directing us to either cancel or complete an application.
You will provide administrative support to the Lawyer and Business Support Officers, Lawyers and wider organisation, following practice and procedures, referring dispute matters outside own authority to more senior staff.
You will be responsible for supporting the Directorate Support Managers, the Data and Register Integrity Group and other areas of HMLR by undertaking other ad hoc duties as required.
