Job Title: Lawyer/Legal Counsel – Prop Firm
Type: Part-Time / Ad-Hoc / External Counsel
Location: International (Remote)
Preferred Time Zone: Europe / European-compatible hours
About the Role
We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with an experienced lawyer or legal counsel with specific knowledge of the proprietary trading (prop firm) industry.
This is not a full-time position. We are looking for a reliable legal professional or law firm that we can engage on an ad-hoc basis whenever legal support is required, including contract reviews, policy reviews, regulatory matters, and other business-related legal questions.
The primary objective at this stage is to establish a strong legal contact who understands the prop trading business and can provide timely and practical legal support as our needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
The legal counsel may be engaged from time to time to support with:
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements and contracts.
- Reviewing and advising on company policies, terms and conditions, and other customer-facing documents.
- Providing legal guidance specific to proprietary trading / prop firm operations.
- Advising on potential legal risks associated with business activities, products, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Reviewing partnership, affiliate, vendor, agency, and other commercial agreements.
- Advising on intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, and other relevant legal matters.
- Providing legal input on disputes, customer complaints, and other matters when required.
- Supporting the company with legal research and interpretation of relevant laws and regulations.
- Advising on cross-border and international legal considerations where applicable.
- Providing practical and commercially focused legal advice to the management team.

What We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer/attorney with relevant professional credentials in their jurisdiction.
- Demonstrable experience or knowledge of the proprietary trading / prop firm industry is highly preferred.
- Experience working with international or cross-border businesses.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts and corporate/legal matters.
- Experience reviewing policies, terms of service, agreements, and other business documentation.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, intellectual property, and commercial risk.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Able to provide clear, practical, and commercially minded legal advice.
- Responsive and available to support the company on an ad-hoc basis when required.
- Comfortable working remotely with an international team.

Engagement
This is not a full-time employment opportunity. We are looking to establish an ongoing relationship with a lawyer or legal firm that can provide legal support on an as-needed basis.
The volume of work may vary depending on the company's requirements. Support may include individual contract reviews, policy reviews, legal consultations, or larger projects when necessary.
