Job Description

Are you an experienced HGV or LCV Technician looking for a strong basic salary, regular Monday-to-Friday hours and the opportunity to increase your earnings through overtime?

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established commercial vehicle business based in Warrington.

The workshop predominantly maintains light and medium commercial vehicles ranging from 4x4s and LCVs through to vehicles of approximately 13.5 tonnes, with most of the workload consisting of 3.5t and 7.5t vehicles.

This would particularly suit an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician who enjoys working across lighter and medium-weight vehicles rather than exclusively on larger HGVs.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Working predominantly on 3.5t and 7.5t vehicles
  • Maintaining vehicles ranging from LCVs and 4x4s through to approximately 13.5 tonnes
  • Completing scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Identifying and replacing worn or defective components
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
  • Completing workshop documentation and maintenance records accurately
  • Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
