LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TECHNICIAN – £50K–£55K

Swanton, Kent

Permanent Position

£50k–£55k per annum DOE

Monday to Friday

Choice of 06:00–16:00 or 07:00–17:00

Every Other Saturday, 07:00–12:00

21 Days’ Holiday + Bank Holidays

Job Description

Are you an experienced LCV Technician looking for a strong basic salary, consistent daytime hours and long-term job security?

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in the Tonbridge & Malling area.

The company operates a large fleet of around 600 commercial vehicles, predominantly 3.5-tonne panel vans, supplying vehicles on long-term contracts within the utility sector.

Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add another experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to their workshop team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and commercial vehicles
  • Working predominantly on 3.5-tonne panel vans
  • Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Identifying and replacing worn or defective components
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
  • Completing workshop documentation accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
  • Supporting the wider workshop team where required

Desired Skills And Experience

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A minimum of approximately five years’ experience working on commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
  • Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Your own tools
  • Reliable transport to and from the workshop

Experience working on Ford Transit vehicles would be particularly advantageous, although it is not essential.

HOURS

  • Monday To Friday, With a Choice Of
    • 06:00 – 16:00
    • or
    • 07:00 – 17:00
  • Every other Saturday: 07:00 – 12:00

Pay And Benefits

  • £50,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience
