What You'll Be Doing

As a Learning & Development Manager, you will shape a high-impact learning offer for Support Office colleagues, drive engagement with our digital learning platforms, and ensure development solutions address our most critical capability needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Learning & Development Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the learning and development experience for Support Office colleagues across Boots. Working closely with business leaders and stakeholders, you will identify priority capability needs and develop scalable solutions that support both current performance and future business success.
You will be responsible for maintaining a compelling core learning offer for all colleagues, ensuring development opportunities are accessible, relevant and aligned to organisational priorities. A key focus of the role will be driving engagement with our online learning platform, increasing adoption, and helping colleagues make the most of the learning resources available to them.
Using data, insights and feedback, you will continuously evaluate and evolve the learning offer, ensuring it delivers measurable impact and supports a culture of continuous development. You will also bring external best practice and innovative thinking into Boots, helping to ensure our capability approach remains modern, engaging and effective.

What You'll Need To Have (our Must-haves)
- Experience in Learning & Development.
- A strong understanding of how to identify capability needs and translate them into impactful learning solutions.
- Experience developing and embedding learning strategies, programmes or capability frameworks.
- Knowledge of digital learning platforms, with a proven track record of driving learner engagement and adoption.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Experience using data, insights and feedback to evaluate effectiveness and demonstrate impact.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A customer and learner-focused mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Curiosity to seek out external best practice, innovation and emerging learning trends.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

It would be great if you also have
- Experience working within a large, complex organisation, ideally in Retail, Healthcare, CPG, or a customer-focused environment.
- Knowledge of learning technologies, digital content platforms and modern learning methodologies.
- Experience supporting organisational change, capability transformation or skills-based workforce initiatives.
- A recognised learning, talent or coaching qualification.
- Experience using learning analytics and insight tools to inform decision-making and improve colleague engagement.
A strong external network and enthusiasm for bringing new ideas and emerging best practice into the business.
