This role requires regular travel to our Head Office in Monkspath, near Solihull, in the West Midlands. You must live within a reasonable commute from our Head Office to apply for this role.

Purpose of the Role
To independently diagnose performance and capability needs and lead the design, delivery and evaluation of complex blended-learning solutions for colleagues up to PST Head of/Multi-Unit Leader level. Working collaboratively with digital learning specialists, Subject Matter Experts and business stakeholders, the role creates coherent learning journeys, leads assigned projects and provides professional coaching and mentoring to less experienced L&D colleagues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates as a senior individual contributor, leading complex learning solutions and providing professional guidance to colleagues without formal line-management accountability.
- Acts as solution owner for assigned learning journeys, coordinating design, development, delivery, implementation and evaluation across contributing roles.
- Leads performance consulting for assigned business needs, using data and stakeholder insight to diagnose root causes, determine whether learning is the appropriate response, and agree measurable performance outcomes.
- Makes evidence-based recommendations where learning is not the primary solution and agrees ownership of any non-learning actions with stakeholders.
- Owns the end-to-end design of complex blended-learning journeys, integrating appropriate facilitated, digital, social, experiential and workplace methods. Applies instructional design, adult-learning, inclusion and accessibility principles throughout.
- Partners with digital learning specialists to develop briefs, storyboards, digital assets and platform experiences that support the intended blended-learning journey, providing timely feedback and quality assurance.
- Aligns content with the L&D framework and content map, using agreed tools and models consistently across learner audiences.
- Facilitates selected learning experiences and prepares others to deliver them effectively through briefing, observation, feedback and train-the-trainer activity.
- Scopes, designs and facilitates intact team development (teams led by up to Head of level) to support performance development, using tools such as psychometrics as appropriate.
- Quality-assures all elements of assigned learning journeys for accuracy, accessibility, consistency, relevance and alignment with Stonegate’s brand guidelines.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a multi-site business, including experience of facilitating engaging and inclusive face-to-face and virtual learning for varied audiences up to leadership level, adapting approach confidently to learner needs, group dynamics and operational context.
- Substantial experience of independently designing, delivering and evaluating complex blended-learning journeys that integrate facilitated, digital, social and workplace learning.
- Demonstrable experience of working with digital learning designers and developers to create digital components within a coherent blended learning journey, including producing clear briefs, reviewing outputs and assuring the learner experience.
- Demonstrable experience of independently applying performance-consulting methods to diagnose needs, identify root causes and determine appropriate learning and non-learning responses.
- Understanding of the 5Di approach to learning and a strong applied knowledge of instructional design, adult-learning theory, learning transfer and modality selection, with evidence of making informed trade-offs between effectiveness, accessibility, operational feasibility, cost and pace.
- Experience of defining success measures and evaluating learning transfer, application and business impact, using qualitative and quantitative evidence to generate insight and improve decisions.
- Experience of content curation with an understanding of the tools, methods and processes for gathering, verifying, organising, and sharing information and resources to meet learning or performance needs.
- Evidence of driving own development and keeping up with the latest thinking and technologies (e.g. use of AI in learning, etc.) and using this to inform the design and delivery of learning experiences.
