About the Role
The Citywide Learning Disability Service is offering a 9-12 month Band 7 Registered Manager secondment for candidates with a professional registration and/or experience of Learning Disabilities in a CQC residential care setting at 144, our specialist nurse-led respite service for adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.
144 is a three-bedded respite unit providing planned short breaks for 14 adults across Manchester, supporting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for individuals and their families.
Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Lead a team of nurses and support workers, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Support individuals to achieve the best possible quality of life through tailored care that reflects their strengths, aspirations, preferences, and communication needs.
- Work closely with the Community Matron and General Manager, overseeing the day-to-day management and coordinating care for people with complex and changing needs.
- Operationally manage the service providing short breaks and some outreach support to learning disabled people who present complex and challenging behaviour and Autism.
- Manage and supervise staff and ensure agreed assessments and programs of care are implemented following a positive behavior support model (PBS).
