The Learning & Development (L&D) Planning & Logistics team plays a vital role in ensuring colleagues across the organisation have access to the right learning opportunities, resources and equipment when they need them. Working closely with teams across the People Directorate and wider business, the department is responsible for coordinating learning delivery, workforce planning and logistics to support organisational priorities. The team uses data and insight from learning systems to produce high-quality management information, enabling evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement. As a key function within the People Directorate, the department helps shape and deliver the L&D strategy, ensuring learning solutions are effective, efficient and aligned to the organisationās goals, workforce needs and future capabilities.
Lead a skilled Learning & Development Planning & Logistics team, ensuring the right resources, training delivery and equipment are available at the right time to meet business needs. You will oversee learning and resource planning, produce the annual L&D plan, and use data from learning systems to deliver high-quality management information that supports decision-making. As a key member of the L&D leadership team, you will help shape, communicate and embed the L&D strategy, driving continuous improvement and excellent customer outcomes across the organisation.

Top Responsibilities
- Collaborating with L&D and People & Places Directorate colleagues, customers and other stakeholders to define, implement and continuously improve learning standards, services to ensure a cohesive approach.
- Accountable for developing learning plans to ensure right resource, right place, right time.
- Ensuring learning plans are confirmed at least a quarter ahead of time.
- Collaborating with the business to plan resources to enable Training Delivery.
- Managing and coordinating the activities of their team to ensure delivery against agreed customer plans, including resource allocation.

About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- Experience of leading L&D administration and logistics for complex organisations.
- Practical experience of prioritising customer demands and producing plans through good practice modelling.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Leadership and people management.
- Setting up and managing governance.
- Ability to plan, optimise and prioritise resources for training delivery.
- Good detailed budget management.
- Analytical and able to provide strong and relevant MI for decision making.
- Experience of procurement processes.
Additional Information
- CIPD or equivalent L&D qualifications or willing to study.
