Learning & Development Specialist - Construction Division

Location: North / Midlands based.

Help develop the talent that will shape the future of construction.

We're looking for an organised and enthusiastic Learning & Development Specialist to join our Construction People Team, reporting into the L&D lead.

This is an exciting opportunity for an L&D professional looking to broaden their experience in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. As the Division transitions from a Group-wide learning model to a devolved, divisional approach, this role will be instrumental in establishing and embedding a local L&D offering. With a true start-up mentality, you'll help shape processes, build capability, and create learning solutions that meet the unique needs of the business. Working closely with HR, Talent and operational teams, you'll play a key role in driving a culture of continuous learning, growth and high performance across the Division.

You'll play an important role in bringing our learning strategy to life, ensuring colleagues have a positive and seamless experience throughout their development journey.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partner with stakeholders and business leaders to understand needs and priorities, acting as a trusted advisor on learning, performance, and talent development.
  • Design and implement blended learning solutions, collaborating with SMEs and external providers where required, ensuring all learning solutions are engaging, inclusive and aligned with business culture and strategy.
  • Develop a comprehensive Divisional employee induction pathway for all new hires, ensuring a seamless and engaging onboarding experience regardless of location.
  • Monitor participation, feedback and learning outcomes to support continuous improvement, measuring learning effectiveness using KPIs and evaluation models.
  • Assist with talent, early careers and career development programmes where required.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments, analysing performance data, engagement surveys, and business metrics to identify skill gaps, prioritise learning interventions based on business impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
