Learning and Development Team Leader

Could you keep a critical learning and development service running smoothly while leading the relationships, processes and people that help ensure employees across NRS have the skills and training they need to succeed? Based from our Bristol Hub, this Learning and Development Team Leader role requires you to be Bristol-based and offers the chance to combine people leadership, service ownership and continuous improvement in a position that directly supports the capability of our business.

You’ll take ownership of key learning services, work closely with colleagues, suppliers and other partners, and help shape how learning is delivered across multiple sites. From managing supplier relationships and resolving service issues to supporting your team and improving processes, you’ll play a central role in ensuring learning activities are delivered efficiently, consistently and to a high standard.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of an efficient and responsive L&D service, ensuring training requirements are planned, scheduled and delivered effectively across the business.
  • Provide leadership and direction to L&D team members and apprentices, supporting their development, performance and delivery of high-quality learning services.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees, managers, HR teams and site representatives, helping ensure learning activities run smoothly while maintaining accurate records, providing expert support and delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Take ownership of key external learning relationships, including accountability for the Inspiro managed service contract.
  • Work closely with their scheduling and system support teams, alongside Subject Matter Experts and the LD Technical team, ensuring consistency, quality and alignment across learning processes.
  • Lead, support and develop the L&D team and apprentices.
  • Investigate issues, engage stakeholders and drive effective resolutions when concerns arise around external training arrangements or delivery standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
