LE3 Linesman / Plant Operator
AUREOS are seeking a skilled LE3 Linesman / Plant Operator to perform essential overhead and underground electrical line work and operate various plant machinery to support infrastructure projects.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For The Following
- Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Install and remove poles, cross-arms, insulators, transformers, and other line equipment.
- Splice and terminate overhead and underground electrical cables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and outages.
- Operate a variety of plant machinery including, but not limited to, excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and elevated work platforms (EWPs).
- Perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on plant machinery.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Work effectively in a team environment, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Complete accurate documentation of work performed, including logbooks and job reports.
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response as required.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead or equivalent electrical trade qualification.
- Current LE3 Linesman certification.
- Relevant plant operator tickets/licenses (e.g., HR licence, excavator, EWP, loader).
- Proven experience in electrical distribution network construction, maintenance, and repair.
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Driver's License (HR class preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
