St Johnstone Football Club is recruiting a Lead Academy Performance Analyst to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering the club's Football Science and Medicine Performance Strategy in line with its philosophy on talent development. The role involves filming academy matches and carrying out subsequent performance analysis to aid the coaching process and the tactical development of academy players.
Please note: this is a part-time role that requires evening and weekend work, reporting to the Head of Academy.
Main Responsibilities
- Complete post-match video analysis on both teams (home and away) in line with the academy's Analysis and Performance Strategy.
- Share uploaded video footage with visiting teams via an online platform.
- Support the coaching staff to present footage to academy players, and at times present to staff.
- Conduct individual player analysis for players highlighted by the Head of Academy as 'high potential'.
- Assist in filming and coding individual technical assessments (twice per year).
- Assist with ongoing research and development projects, including data collection and presentation.
- Use effective time management to ensure all tasks are met on time.

- Educated to degree level with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- UEFA-recognised coaching qualification plus Scottish FA Performance Analysis Level 1 (or equivalent).
- Disclosure Scotland clearance.
- SFA Child Wellbeing Course certification.
Desirable
- SFA online Mental Health Course.
- Previous academy football experience.
Location: St Johnstone FC Academy, Perth.
Contract: Part-time (evening and weekend work).
