Lead Accountant | £415/day Inside IR35 | 6 Month Contract
📍 London (3 days office / 2 days remote)
I'm currently supporting a global technology organisation seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership of complex financial accounting activities while partnering with senior stakeholders across finance, tax, treasury, FP&A, legal and operational teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading month-end close activities and financial reporting
- Preparing and reviewing complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Delivering detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis, commentary and trend reporting
- Supporting statutory reporting, annual audits and SOX compliance activities
- Preparing technical accounting papers covering US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP requirements
- Managing transfer pricing processes and supporting corporate tax filings
- Driving process improvements, controls and finance transformation initiatives
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making

What we're looking for:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, CPA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across US GAAP, IFRS and/or EMEA local GAAP
- Experience managing month-end close within a complex international environment
- Strong understanding of statutory reporting, audit and financial controls
- Ability to communicate technical accounting matters to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with large ERP/accounting platforms, ideally Oracle
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Pay: £415 per day Inside IR35
- Duration: Initial 6-month contract
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid working (3 days London office / 2 days remote)
