Role: Agentic AI Architect
Location: Birmingham/London/Sheffield – Hybrid (3 days per week Work from Office Location)

Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Agentic AI Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions. The successful candidate will define AI architecture standards, drive innovation, and build intelligent autonomous systems that deliver measurable business outcomes across complex and regulated environments. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, AI governance, cloud platforms, and large-scale engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise architecture for Agentic AI platforms, AI assistants, copilots, and autonomous workflows.
- Design and implement multi-agent systems leveraging reasoning, planning, memory, orchestration, and tool integration.
- Architect production-grade GenAI solutions including RAG, intelligent search, knowledge assistants, workflow automation, and decision-support systems.
- Establish AI engineering standards covering LLMOps, MLOps, platform governance, observability, security, and responsible AI.
- Lead technology selection across LLMs, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and cloud AI platforms.
- Drive enterprise adoption of AI while ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and commercial viability.
- Provide technical leadership to architects, engineers, data scientists, and senior business stakeholders.
- Partner with executive leadership to define AI strategy, roadmaps, investment priorities, and innovation opportunities.
Required Experience
- 15+ years of software engineering, architecture, and platform leadership experience.
- 8+ years delivering AI/ML platforms in production environments.
- Proven experience architecting and deploying Agentic AI, LLM, and Generative AI solutions at scale.
- Strong background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience leading large engineering teams and complex transformation programmes.
- Track record of delivering enterprise AI platforms from strategy through implementation and operationalisation.
