Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Lead Agentic AI Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions. The successful candidate will define AI architecture standards, drive innovation, and build intelligent autonomous systems that deliver measurable business outcomes across complex and regulated environments. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, AI governance, cloud platforms, and large-scale engineering delivery.

What you will do

  • Define and own the enterprise architecture for Agentic AI platforms, AI assistants, copilots, and autonomous workflows.
  • Design and implement multi-agent systems leveraging reasoning, planning, memory, orchestration, and tool integration.
  • Architect production-grade GenAI solutions including RAG, intelligent search, knowledge assistants, workflow automation, and decision-support systems.
  • Establish AI engineering standards covering LLMOps, MLOps, platform governance, observability, security, and responsible AI.
  • Lead technology selection across LLMs, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and cloud AI platforms.
  • Drive enterprise adoption of AI while ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and commercial viability.
  • Provide technical leadership to architects, engineers, data scientists, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define AI strategy, roadmaps, investment priorities, and innovation opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bring 15+ years of software engineering, architecture, and platform leadership experience.
  • Demonstrate 8+ years delivering AI/ML platforms in production environments.
  • Proven experience architecting and deploying Agentic AI, LLM, and Generative AI solutions at scale.
  • Strong background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large engineering teams and complex transformation programmes.
  • Show a track record of delivering enterprise AI platforms from strategy through implementation and operationalisation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Multi-Agent Systems, Agentic AI Architecture, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM Application Design, Prompt Engineering, Responsible AI, and AI Evaluation Frameworks.
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and AutoGen.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock and SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, and hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Strong programming experience with Python, Java, Scala, TypeScript, and SQL.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Bicep, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proficiency with GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of LLMOps and MLOps, model governance, AI security and guardrails, LangSmith, Arize, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related discipline preferred.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure AI Engineer certification preferred.
  • Google Professional ML Engineer certification preferred.
  • Executive AI qualifications from leading institutions preferred.
  • Combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to architect enterprise-scale Agentic AI platforms, influence executive stakeholders, and deliver secure, scalable, production-ready AI solutions within highly regulated environments.
